Retired NYPD Sergeant Sues ‘Opportunist’ for $35 Million Dollars

NEW YORK, November 17, 2014 – New York Civil Rights Attorney Eric Sanders, Esq., of The Sanders Firm, P.C., alleges Police Officer Ann Cardenas is no victim, she is an ‘opportunist’, a modern day ‘Poison Ivy,’ who preys on vulnerable male employees in the Department to receive favorable treatment then turns against them, after they outlive their use to her.

On Sunday, Retired Sergeant David M. John filed a $35 Million Dollar lawsuit against defendants’ THE CITY OF NEW YORK; ANN CARDENAS; PETE SZUMILO; ALBERT ARONOV and MARTIN HABER for the conspiracy to violate his civil service and civil rights.

“In this matter, we are hopeful Police Commissioner William J. Bratton will order the Internal Affairs Bureau to ‘fully’ investigate Police Officers Ann Cardenas, Pete Szumilo, Albert Aronov and Martin Haber’s employment background along with their electronic mobile devices, computers, etc. We are confident the investigators’ will find a treasure trove of electronic information debunking the disgusting ‘false’ allegations of sexual harassment and other misconduct claims they have made against Retired Sergeant John. It is important to note, when investigating allegations of sexual harassment, one should ‘never’ rush to judgment assuming the woman is always a ‘victim.’ It is important to remember that male employees have an equal right to be protected from false allegations of sexual harassment and other misconduct claims.” Eric Sanders says.

The name of the case is: David M. John v. City of New York, et al., filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York Docket No.: 14 cv 6727, dated November 16, 2014.
